Pretzel Salad

PRETZEL SALAD

 2 cup pretzels, broken
 2 pkg. cream cheese, softened
2-3 cups mixed berries (or any fruit-drained) (I buy frozen)
2 (8 oz) cool whip
1/2 cube butter
1 cup sugar

Melt butter and 1/2 cup sugar in a pan, add broken up pretzels and stir. Spread out on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 8-9 minutes. (I line with tinfoil and spray it with Pam)  Let cool, then break up with spatula. Mix cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar, then add cool whip. Add fruit. Put in refrigerator to keep cool, add pretzels just before serving. 

( I add the fruit just before serving as well so it doesn't go mushy...I put it in the salad frozen about 30 mins before serving it and it thaws fast and keeps the salad cold!)
